We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for our busy corporate office location in Arlington Heights, IL. The right person will be flexible in order to get the job done with the ability to be a multi tasker and have good analytical skills to stay focused on results – someone who enjoys problem solving, loves a challenge, and is committed to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be energetic, assertive and polished with a proven track record of building relationships over the phone and in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and process furniture/lighting/accessory/container inventory orders
  • Monitor hot selling items and enter/process orders accordingly
  • Receive, confirm and enter order acknowledgements for furniture/lighting/accessory/container inventory orders
  • Track furniture/lighting/accessory/container inventory orders and push through system.
  • Receive, enter and approve furniture/lighting/accessory/container inventory invoices with accounting
  • Arrange transfers for each showroom and update locations in system
  • Manage floor sale/inventory claims, donations, repairs, re?orders etc.
  • Reprice furniture/lighting/accessory inventory (utilize Excel and Adobe to manually adjust price lists to CAI retail)
  • Assist sales team with product/pricing inquires, CAI?questions, troubleshooting, merging designer accounts, order revisions
  • Work with home team, CSRs and inventory specialists from our locations to add items into inventory from special order claims
  • Manage furniture and accessory consignment inventory pieces on showroom floor (track sales, cost revisions and request/pay invoices upon designer's payment verification)
  • Cross reference any grade changes or discontinued items/frame/fabrics/leather with our inventory and update accordingly
  • Create/update vendor pages and attend new vendor meetings

Required:

  • High attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and manage time effectively under strict timelines within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phone manner/customer service
  • Team-Player
  • Knowledgeable of MS Office/computer systems
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive can-do attitude and healthy working relationships with internal employees and external vendors
