Job Description

The Inventory Control Coordinator position will perform the following duties:


  • Under direct supervision, compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of merchandise and supplies.
  • Performs daily counts of merchandise and supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records.
  • Verifies and records computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Inspects all returned goods and damaged products to determine if items should be re-entered into inventory or discarded.
  • Handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on produce and product spoiled.
  • Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Check expiration dates against reports and communicate short-dated items to manager to prevent shrink.
  • Ensure poor quality products are removed from inventory before any customer purchases.
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
  • Functions as back-up to driver check-in position

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Microsoft Suite experience, including Excel
Highly detailed oriented
1-2 years of warehouse experience
Double Pallet Jack experience
Must be able to work effectively without close supervision
Available to work 7am - 3:30pm
Reliable transportation to get to work on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of working with AS400
  • Inventory experience
  • Warehouse experience
  • RF scanner system
  • Forklift experience preferred
