Job Summary:
The Intraoperative Neurophysiologist, non-CNIM certified trainee, is responsible to prepare for the CNIM board exam and obtain the certification within 1 year of employment with Assure Neuromonitoring. The trainee must demonstrate the skills in IONM fundamentals, including spinal monitoring modalities, and demonstrate and aptitude to learn advanced modalities to monitor complex surgical procedures. It is paramount that the trainee learns and strives to provide industry leading clinical care for each patient in support of our Surgeons and Facilities. The trainee will work with their team members under the guidance of the Education Director, Regional Manager, Territory Directors and National Director to ensure all customers (facility, surgeon and patient) are being cared for and serviced in a professional and industry leading manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Provide intraoperative neuromonitoring clinical services in a professional and competent manner
- Remains immediately available for case coverage during normal business hours and while on call.
- Abide by all Facility specific Policies, Procedures and Practices.
- Obtain and maintain all credentials for which Assure Neuromonitoring provides services for in territories you are responsible for case coverage.
- Abides by all Assure Neuromonitoring Clinical Policies and Protocols
- Abides by the Assure Neuromonitoring Employment Handbook Agreement
- Always remain HIPAA compliant
- Completes all assigned compliance training on time
- Participates in all CEU activities offered by Assure Neuromonitoring Education Department
- Prepare to obtain CNIM certification within 1 year of employment
- Complete required training to maintain CNIM certification
- Maintain all credentialing requirements
- Complete all assigned tasks on time this includes but not limited to: supply inventory, bench checks, compliance training etc.

- Bachelor’s degree preferably in a science major, or ABRET granted credential in R.EEG.T or R.EP.T, of graduate of CAAHEP accredited NIOM Program
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

- Ability to type and complete significant amounts of computer work
- Ability to perform and efficient full IONM setup, to include machine setup, electrode placement, equipment troubleshooting, electrode breakdown, equipment breakdown and clean up
- Spending extended amounts of time in an operating room (cold environment, potentially stressful situations)
- Ability to maintain focus for extended amounts of time
