    Interpreter - Sign Language - Southside Elementary - 7 hrs/Day
    Students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing need specialized support in achieving their educational goals. You will provide support through interpreting spoken word to sign and sign to spoken word.

    Row F of Salary Schedule - $15.17-$19.22 per hour; DOE

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Demonstrated ability to translate the spoken word into the language of signs at a normal conversational rate using a straight sign language sign system and to reverse
    interpret from sign language to the spoken word
    • Certification, or ability to obtain certification, as an interpreter through either:
    • Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf OR
    • Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment, OR
    • National Association of the Deaf
    • Experience signing with school-age children
