Job Description
Clinical Ink is seeking an International Logistics Coordinator to join our Logistics team based in Horsham, PA! The International Logistics Coordinator's responsibilities will include:
- Proactively develop and maintain a countries database, which includes all specific country customs requirements
- Proactively monitor all new contracts to ensure all countries included in-contract have customs requirements researched and available when needed
- Develop and maintain a product database, which includes documents required by customs to provide import license approval for all products exported by Clinical Ink
- Provide consultative services to Logistics management to ensure that all products purchased by Clinical Ink meet international customs requirements and can be exported to all global customers regardless of importing country
- Provide tracking information and reporting on all international shipments
- Work with external customers to provide all appropriate documentation to Importers of Record (IoRs) for successful import license approvals from customs
- Prepare proforma and commercial invoices for each international shipment to ensure successful and timely delivery of products to Clinical Ink’s customers
- Modify proforma and commercial invoices based on customer request
- Provide consultative services to customers to ensure that they are accurately assessing customs requirements
- Update CRM and warehouse management systems throughout the importation cycle to ensure clear understanding of status of all requested international shipment paperwork
- Proactively monitor all international shipments to ensure timely delivery of required international paperwork and responses to customs inquiries
- Maintain timely and effective communication with all customs brokers, IoRs, and carriers to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Maintain timely and effective communication with both internal and external customers to ensure on-time delivery of all international shipments
- Identify and implement supply chain strategies to optimize lead times and cost when exporting to all countries regardless of their unique Customs requirements
- Build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with suppliers to drive process improvement
- Establish, update, and maintain processes, forms, and procedures
- Serve as escalation point for international shipping issues related to logistics
- Maintain detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to assist management as needed
- Assist with training of Logistics team in international shipping requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of international shipping compliance experience with experience in global exports preferred
- Proficiency with computer software/applications
- Experience with creating international shipping documentation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, time management, and excellent organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, EAR Classifications, and Incoterms preferred
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs
