About This Job
The Communication & Content Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Internal Communications & B2B Proposals Team (CIC+B2B). Working alongside the Manager and CIC+B2B team members, the Specialist will author internal communications, draft internal newsletter articles, facilitate content library reviews for RFP360 (our content management system for requests for proposals), provide support for customer-facing proposals and assist with other writing and design-related projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Author internal communications by direction of the CIC+B2B Manager and the Commercial Strategies Manager
- Author recurring features for HubNews, the monthly internal newsletter for the Commercial Segment. Articles will include features such as employee and market spotlights, success stories and other important updates
- Follow Commerce Brand and Associated Press Style guidelines
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft SharePoint templates to create and post content
- Help maintain internal distribution lists
- Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders and Commercial leaders
- Adhere to editorial calendar, meet deadlines and follow structured approval process
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; occasional overtime

- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously

- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelors degree preferred (journalism, editing, marketing, public relations, business administration, communication studies or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of Associated Press Style strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint strongly preferred
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRMs preferred
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software preferred
- Some graphic design skills preferred
- 1-3+ years of content writing required
