The Role

The Intermediary Marketing Manager plays a critical role as a liaison and marketing subject matter expert to the ILI Sales & Distribution team at Prudential. An exceptional relationship manager, this person is charged with establishing and cultivating working relationships with our Key Financial Institutional firms and proactively working to get our marketing materials and campaigns approved for use in that Channel in a timely fashion. As a student of the industry and practice, the Intermediary Marketing Manager will partner with other subject matter experts to leverage research and analytics to identify targeted opportunities, design robust go-to-market plans, and interpret and communicate campaign results. This position is critical to driving engagement with intermediaries and the Sales organization alike. He/she/they will assist with developing sales enablement content, leading lead generation activities and coordinating timely and promotional campaigns to address customer needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Leverage marketing best practices such as customer segmentation, marketing automation, market analytics, and product understanding to drive impact of campaigns and communications
  • Collaborate with sales teams to deeply understand which materials would be most impactful to seek approval for and prioritize them accordingly
  • Lead channel marketing efforts to drive revenue from strategic distribution partners
  • Partner with large cross-functional teams to co-create marketing approaches that result in brand adoption
  • Engage with Broker Dealers/Firms to understand firm objectives and identify marketing opportunities

Your Expertise

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A four-year degree is preferred
  • 5+ years B-to-B and/or B-B-C marketing experience highly desired
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating across functional teams, negotiating in a matrixed organization, building strong relationships with business partners and designing creative solutions
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills and a passion for understanding how best to influence the customer journey in the purchase of life insurance
  • Prior success with taking intelligent risks and is comfortable working autonomously
  • Functional knowledge of Individual Life Insurance products, services, distribution and market environment desired or financial services experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
