Job Description

Your life goes beyond the blueprint, lit up with vibrant colors, tactile textures, iconic shapes, and patterns that leave a trail of visual interest. Your love for interior design goes deeper than Pantone’s Color of the Year description. You’re so organized, you put Marie Kondo to shame. You’re such a great multi-tasker, that you’re reading this while simultaneously comparing the moody tonal range of paint swatches. If you want to work with an experienced team that thrives on cohesive interior design that connects people and place, guess what? We have the career (and material libraries) for you.

This role is supported by the Director of Design and requires a passion for visualizing and sketching design plans that elevate client goals, source high-performance products and materials, and adhere to budget. You will undertake projects from conception to completion with meetings and presentations that align internal visioning with innovative design concepts and top-tier documentation. About JLG:
On a 20-below January day in 1989, Gary Johnson and Lonnie Laffen opened the doors to JLG Architects with little more than a stack of bumwad and a burning desire to truly make a difference through great design (and probably a space heater, because brr).

Over the past 32 years, our 160 JLGers – spanning four states and working as one united team – have collaborated alongside extraordinary clients and global partners to bring award-winning ideas that deliver strategic solutions. We are one of the country’s 50 Most Admired Companies (MSN Money), 50 Best Places to Work (Inc. Magazine), and Architecture Giants (Building Design+Construction). Our values may be quintessentially Midwestern, but our ambition is international.

Every day at JLG is a new day for creating, inspiring, and solving challenges. The team – from our Intern Designers to our Construction Administrator and Marketing staff – are the heart and brains of the process, and we work closely, because together, we find the inspiration to go further. We are innovative, creative, and resilient in seeking out new ways to actively participate in the experience of being a JLGer.

In fact, our JLGers are so important, that we became a 100% Employee-Owned ESOP in 2014—because the best place to grow your career is at a business of your own design. We collectively recognize your growth potential, see your vision, and dare you to dream big. If you are someone who wants more from you career, and the support to soar, you’re someone we want to meet.
