Compensation: $50,606-$65,790/year

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for supporting the Camp Namanu Director of Property (Director of Property) in all aspects of facility upkeep and maintenance. This is a 6-month interim position with the possibility of extension depending on internal hiring outcomes and job performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- This role will come in contact with campers, families, visitors, vendors and employees. Each of these persons may have visible and invisible qualities that makes that person unique. - Assists the Director of Property with regular camp maintenance, requiring a basic knowledge of facility upkeep and repair.
- Participates in and assists in all facets of camp facility maintenance.
- Lives on site when covering for the Director of Property, hosting rental groups or as needed.
Job Duties:
- Maintains and operates a variety of vehicles.
- Attends and supervises work projects at service weekends, corporate days of service and other service events.
- Directs groups while drawing boundaries in a tactful and friendly manner.
- Assists with site tours.
- Promotes the rental program through community building with current renters.
- Performs custodial and cleaning duties, as assigned.
- Acts as on-call support for Namanu events and facilities.
- Brings opportunities for donated and discounted materials and services to the attention of the Camp Namanu Executive Director (CNED) and/or Director of Development.
- Supports Camp Namanu Director of Programs and CNED as needed to ensure highest quality summer camp experiences, and client experiences.
- Supports Camp Namanu Rental Manager to ensure the highest quality experience for all rental groups.
- Ensures policies and practices are followed that lead to safe and successful program experiences for all participants and staff.
- Acts as a role model for enjoyment, integrity and dedication in the work of Camp Fire… we are in it for the kids!
Other:
- Supports the mission, purpose and leadership of Camp Fire and projects a positive image of Camp Fire.
- Attends Camp Fire meetings and events, as required.
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises the seasonal maintenance staff, volunteers, contracted workers and others as needed in the absence of the Director of Property.

Education and/or Experience:
Any combination of education and life experience that provides the required set of skills and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the position at a high level.
A high level of competence in all facets of facility maintenance, including but not limited to all aspects of carpentry and building, plumbing, electrical, septic, lawn and garden. Challenge course instruction experience is a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills:
Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, download forms, and preserve/backup important data.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
This position requires a valid Oregon Food Handler’s card and First Aid & CPR certification. This position requires a valid insurable Driver’s License.
