Intensive Needs Special Educator -Barre Town Middle School

Barre Town Middle and Elementary School is seeking an innovative, energetic and collaborative individual to join the Barre Town School community and special education team as a IntensiveNeeds Special Educator. The Intensive Needs Special Educator will coordinateand implement effective instruction andinterventionsfor students in grade 5-8.We are seeking a skilled professionalwith experiencein multi-layered curriculum or curriculum overlapping, UDL, communication, and behavior. This position requires effective collaboration, consultation, andcommunicationwith classroom teachers, families, outside agencies, SLP's, OT's and PT's.The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of special education rules and regulations, the ability to integrate a variety of data to implement instruction and intervention, and be an advocate for inclusive education within layered systems of support.The Barre Town Middle and Elementary School is one of Vermont's largest middle and elementary schools, currently enrolling more than 800 students in grades PreK-8. Barre Town is home to four villages; including East Barre, Websterville, Graniteville, and South Barre.
