Job Description
Responsibilities: The Insurance Verification Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Insurance Verification Team to ensure accurate and timely input of all payer information, benefits, eligibility and authorization information. Oversees daily operations workflow, as well as customer and departmental satisfaction. Serves as a role model for staff in maintaining effective communication with internal and external customers. Monitors reports, schedules and emails to ensure timely completion of work from Insurance Verification Team.
The Insurance Verification Supervisor will play an active role in assisting with verification duties to assist the Team, and ensures all scheduled tests are completed within a minimum of 3 days prior to the scheduled date and continually working toward a 5 day goal.
The Insurance Verification Supervisor will monitor all add on procedures to ensure that they are processed timely and ready for the scheduled date and time.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION
Associate degree or BBA preferred.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
Three to Five years of job related experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
None.
REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Must be computer literate; possess good verbal and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills.
WORK SCHEDULE
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however additional hours may be required due to increase in workload, assignment and completion of special projects. Must be flexible if required to work long or irregular hours.
