Job Description
Established Millwork manufacturer in the highly desirable Charlotte, NC area seeks an Insulated Glass Technician to become part of our team as we expand our operations in 2019 in the Doors and Windows markets. We are seeking energetic, reliable, and hard-working team-oriented individuals for day shift production in our plant full-time. The position requires the handling of glass and various other products related to the windows industry. The individual will work on cutting, fabricating, insulating, and/or shipping. This position requires bending, twisting and reaching. The individual will be standing and walking on a concrete floor wearing safety gear for long periods at a time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Handling of glass products in a safe and efficient manner throughout the production process.
  • Reading labels to expedite product flow into other departments.
  • Inspecting product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues.
  • Utilizing a tape measure to ensure the product is within the product specifications.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
  • Work to meet daily production goals through the effective flow of units.
  • Inspect product for quality throughout the process to meet or exceed company and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be a contributing member of the team through professionalism and values.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting up to 75 lbs. eventually.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, reach and turn multiple times throughout the day, every day.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with the same climate conditions of the region (Heat, Cold, humidity, etc.). This can be a hot o cold environment.

Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: $ 11.00 to $15.00per hour depending on experience.
Working hours: 7 am to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
