Instructor in Surgical Pathology in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
Job Description:
Functions as a clinical faculty member of the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine reporting directly to the Specialty Service Director or Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs with the following responsibilities:
Clinical Duties (100%):
Non-accredited training curriculum working directly under the supervision of the faculty in the various divisions of Surgical Pathology.
Provide surgical pathology diagnostic services under the supervision of the subspecialty Division directors of the surgical pathology services.
Performing and interpreting frozen sections and providing evening and weekend call coverage for the surgical pathology services at UM Hospital, Sylvester Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Attending tumor boards and education sessions related to surgical pathology.
Attending tumor boards and education sessions related to surgical pathology.
Program certification issued upon completion.

The work is mainly performed in a hospital environment and high level of citizenship and professionalism is expected.
