Instructional coaches will help the assistants and tutoring specialists with progress reports and will be leaders in a robust, collaborative learning community for tutors, paraprofessionals, and other educators working in the community. To stay informed of the practical demands of tutoring, they also will work at least 2 hours per week at local schools and/or via Zoom in one-on-one or small groups with children in grades 1-9 on structured math and/or literacy programs. They also will receive training on working safely with children and will need to pass training and necessary background checks before being approved to work with the children.

This is a temporary, part-time seasonal position during the fall semester, with the possibility of renewal for the spring semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required; prior experience working with children in a teaching, tutoring, or learning setting required; prior experience supervising others preferred; must be comfortable with technology; tutors who tutor remotely must own a computer or laptop that can be used for Zoom sessions and have a space appropriate to conduct remote Zoom sessions with children; tutors who tutor in person must be able to travel to local schools in the South Bend community. Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in education or related field.
