Job title: Inspector/Packer – Days
Location: Madison, WI
Department: Pouching
Shift: 12-hour Days, 7:00am to 7:00m
Either;
1) Sun/Mon/Tues + every other Sat, or
2) Wed/Thurs/Fri + every other Sat
Reports to (Title): Manufacturing Supervisor
1. Job Overview
As Inspector/Packer, this position supports the manufacture of high value / high speed pouches, working closely with other integrated positions and departments, while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality.
2. Principal Accountabilities
Inspector/Packers will have the following accountabilities:
Inspect and package finished product in a high-speed operation.
Responsible for safety of yourself and others around you.
Ensuring quality of the product being manufactured.
Maintaining high awareness to waste and productivity standards
Training of other employees in the position
Maintain housekeeping for assigned area+
Assist operator when needed on the machine
3. Qualifications/Requirements
Job Specific skills and abilities required for Inspector/Packers
Inspector/Packers
Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Prior packaging experience preferred
Work safely in a progressive manufacturing environment
Ability to read a ruler to 1mm or 1/32”
Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings
Basic computer skills
Intermediate math skills
Good visual acuity for inspection of product
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to communicate and work effectively as a team member
