- 5+ years of technology related sales or business development experience
- 2+ years of Inside Sales experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will create business development activities, follow-ups on inbound inquiries and leads from our marketing programs. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to successfully manage a high volume of activity to achieve activity-based metrics, as well as experience establishing credibility with decision makers. A successful candidate will maintain active engagement with their leads and consistently deliver pipeline and closed business to the sales organization.
The ideal candidate has a track record for over achieving quota while focusing on the customer. He/she is a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan, managing multiple accounts and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. The candidate should possess both a sales and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers, engineers, and IT architects. He/she should be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker who embraces all aspects of selling and have very strong communication and presentation skills.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory to meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
- Develop and execute against a territory plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline.
- Manage numerous accounts concurrently & strategically.
- Collaborate effectively on your accounts with other account team members such as the Mid-Market Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Partner Development Manager, and Technical Account Manager.
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
- Analyze sales/metrics data from your territory to help evolve your strategy.
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement.
- Work with partners to manage their pipelines, amplify their efforts, coach their resources and drive adoption.
- Assist customer in identifying use cases for priority adoption of Amazon Web Services as well as best practices implementations.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
- Create and implement sales programs and tools that increase performance within your territory.
- Travel as necessary (limited)
- This is position located in Northern Virginia.
- Experience selling in Public Sector
- Demonstrated track record of metrics and quota obtainment
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com preferred)
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of AWS services
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative and targeted lead generation programs that generate results
- Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
- Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted lead generation programs with the ability to drive projects through completion
- The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
- Ability to forge relationships with sales leaders and reps
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
