Rueter’s Equipment has been a distributor of Heavy equipment serving the Agricultural and Construction industries since 1951. We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our Elkhart/Ankeny, IA team.

We are seeking candidates with 3+ years’ experience in the agriculture or construction equipment industry. Candidates must have strong phone selling skills, be customer service minded, solid computer skills, and have a basic understanding of Ag & construction equipment.

Position: Inside Sales Rep

Location: Elkhart, IA

Purpose

To support branch equipment sales & rental efforts by providing customer service for walk in and phone in equipment customers. To support all outside equipment sales efforts through building quotes, fleet management, paperwork processing, credit application & funding processes.

Description

This position provides sales and operational support for the Elkhart location sales team. This is a revenue generating position is responsible for driving sales through face to face, phone, and other electronic communication with customers and coworkers. This position is responsible for presenting and closing equipment rental deals as well as smaller equipment sales while forwarding leads for larger sales to the Outside Sales Rep. Also, responsible for coordinating delivery and movement of equipment to customer sites and intercompany locations. The position is also the liaison between equipment sales and other internal store departments.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Driving profitable revenue through exceptional customer service
  • Inventory tracking and fleet utilization
  • Managing paperwork and paperwork flow through the sales and rental process
  • Being the key point of contact for walk in and phone in equipment inquiring customers
  • Making purchase recommendations to the Equipment Manager to ensure good levels of customer service
  • Resolving customer concerns if / when they arise
  • Executing to paperwork standards and rental flow process
  • Assist in managing the P&L for the rental department
  • Using Technology as needed – including websites, smart phone, and our operating system
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must take ownership of this self-lead position
  • 3 years+ success in the Agricultural or construction equipment industry
  • 3 years+ success in an equipment rental role
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be skilled with Microsoft office, including excel
  • Must be able to use our operating system (DIS), our CRM, and manufacturer websites
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferences

  • A desire to move to an Outside Sales position after mastery of the ISR position
  • Relocatable within the Rueter’s Equipment foot print

Status of Position

  • Base plus bonus / commission

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office environment at the Elkhart location.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
