The focus of this position is to be a resident-expert on metal roofing activities for internal and external customers, managing projects and ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This position will work to support roofing applicators in bid/proposal preparation, advising customers & contractors on roofing & wall products, updating literature, and familiarize applicators with technology tools. This position will need to possess a working knowledge of the roofing industry, including customer trends in effort to support revenue generation.
This role will be the primary point of contact for call-in and walk-in customers, supporting the distribution/contractor customers and be the resident-expert on application of all metal roofing projects.
This position also possesses the function to generate metal roofing products, accessories, and custom projects, and price quotes. This function requires consistent, daily communication with Carlisle Architectural Metals representatives, roofing distributors, and other general contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determines price of products/services rendered to internal/external customers/general contractors for roofing projects based on current pricing structure from Carlisle Architectural Metals.
- Research & resolve of customer concerns, including review of material and equipment requirements to see successful project- completion.
- Communicates order readiness and coordination of pick up.
- Initializes customer accounts, and if required, credit applications.
- Assist in the opportunities to close sales, including walk-in customers, communication with existing customers, obtaining details on signed estimates, maintaining a working knowledge of the Carlisle Construction Materials/Carlisle Architectural Metals websites and current customer trends in securing competitive information and contributing to the generation of revenue and business growth.
- Participates in month-end reporting, including maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinates with Customer Service Team Lead on customer issues and location-specific concerns from a customer-service standpoint.
- Utilizes tools & services to influence decision makers in utilizing Carlisle Architectural Metals services.
- Gathering the necessary information to successfully complete estimates for customers and general contractors.
- Creation and turning of proper documentation for the customer and production teams.
- Lead generation utilizing online websites to transition into quotes
- Submit architectural lead quotes to sales with list of bidders
- Coordinate with outside reps to gain approved manufacturer status either through design or pre-bid stage.
- Manage a database of architectural leads
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience with administrative/clerical procedures and systems.
- Knowledge of computer systems and previous experience with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite; SAP and AutoCAD are desired
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Able to read and comprehend construction documents.
- Minimum of 1 year of metal roofing industry experience.
- Material estimation and problem solving
- Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Understanding and comprehension of complex math problems and written/verbal customer demands.
- Working Roofing Industry Knowledge, Metal Preferred
- Ability to read architectural plans and drawings
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
