Instagram REHAU Americas InstagramResponsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Innovation Analyst for our New Ventures group at our Americas headquarters in Leesburg, VA. This is a hybrid work opportunity. In this position, the main responsibility will be to support the New Ventures team by ideating, testing and scaling new business opportunities in the construction and smart home industry. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ideating:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand pain points of customers
- Sketch out customer journeys and think of new ideas and concepts to solve prioritized customer pain points together with the team
- Report findings and recommendations to management through comprehensive and easy to follow presentations.
- Build minimum viable products and run real-life experiments to test desirability of business ideas together with the team
- Build business cases for most promising ideas including such elements as a TAM/SAM/SOM analysis and business model generation
- Pitch the most promising ideas to an investment committee in order to receive seed funding to start scaling the venture
- Support the venture team in business development and sales activities
- Support the venture team in developing and hiring, conducting partner negotiations and others
- Support the venture team in financial budgeting and planning of strategic and operative decisions
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, engineering or a related field
- 1-3 years of practical work experience as an innovator in a relevant corporate innovation team or an innovation consulting firm or in an early-stage start-up
- Understanding of Design Thinking and Lean Startup methods
- Market research experience including competitive market mapping, trend analysis, and TAM/SAM/SOM analysis
- Project management experience with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Data driven with ability to analyze, interpret data and present results to management
- Experience in the construction and/or smart home industry not required, but preferred.
- Experience in B2B not required, but preferred.
