Are you seeking an awesome challenge to help increase our security posture in our most dynamic market? If so, we have an excellent opportunity in the Information Security and Privacy team. The Information Security Specialist ensures adherence to security requirements and frameworks like ISO 27K, NIST and others. The role also provides specialist security and privacy knowledge, advising Ericsson organizations across the market area. You will also develop governance models, processes, methods, tools, and training to enable the organization to assess security and ensure efficiency of security programs and controls.


You will
  • Provide specialist Information Security and Privacy knowledge and advice within Market Area North America as part of a team of specialists in the Information/IT Security and Privacy Team.
  • Keep up to date on changing geopolitical pressures, as well as market area-relevant regulations and policies, ensuring the team and others in the organization understand them
  • Be a key part of sustaining operational excellence, continuous development and improvement of Information Security and Privacy Tactical Plans, based on regulations and business needs.
  • Work in partnership with internal partners (such as IT, Legal and Compliance) in the identification of suitable actions to improve security.
  • Develop new and creative ways to help the organization in assessing information security and privacy, ensuring the efficiency of the Information Security Management System and Privacy programs
  • Drive Information Security Risk Assessments and Privacy Impact Analyses and follow up on findings.
  • Report Information Security and Privacy Risks to the Security Leadership Team.
  • Analyze changes to the business environment, corporate audit reports, security assessments, incidents, new threats and vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Support Security awareness campaigns for targeted audiences for all areas and topics related to Information Security and Privacy.
To be successful in the role you must have
  • A bachelor degree in information systems, computer science or computer engineering
  • 3 - 8 years experience within information security including experience with privacy controls and regulations.
  • At least one of these professional certifications, or the willingness to pursue one upon: CISSP, CISM, CISA or CIAPP, or equivalents
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and relevant NIST frameworks
  • Security and risk management experience
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, and be very proactive and hands-on
  • Strong problem solving skills, collaborative, results-oriented, and a strong teammate
  • Experience in project or program management
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written)
