Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Teachers are responsible for providing a high quality, developmentally appropriate experience for the children in the program. They will oversee the program curriculum and environment to meet the needs of the children and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for early childhood education.
***This position is located at Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Child Development site located on the St. Alphonsus Boise Campus at 6520 Norwood Drive, Boise, ID***

Key Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old. First aid, CPR, and Boise City Child Care License certifications are required before first day of work. Successful candidates will demonstrate sound decision-making and the ability to positively influence others, creating a positive, inclusive environment. Must be able to create lesson plans based on children’s interests, needs, and developmental levels. Previous Childcare experience and Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for extended periods. Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in emergencies.
Schedule Requirements:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Schedule will be four 10-hour shifts regular center operating hours of 5:30AM - 6:45PM.
