Infant Teacher

Legacy Early Learning Academy (LELA) exists to prepare children for lifelong educational and social success. We have an immediate need for Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Floater Teachers at our Grapevine location.

Job Requirements:

Foster the healthy development of children by supervising and coordinating daily classroom activities and providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. Plan and coordinate daily activities and hands-on learning environment based on TDFPS state licensing and National accreditation standards. Experience using Frog Street Curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a creative, positive, engaging learning environment in which children can develop to their potential
• Completes training necessary to perform position and necessary for professional growth.
• Completes lesson plans and activities in a timely manner and is consistently prepared for the classroom each day.
• Facilitates a team atmosphere by working in partnership with other teaching staff and promotes a positive working environment.
• Represents the academy and programs in a positive manner to clients, community organizations and the public, in general.

Requirements:

To be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

· Bachelor’s degree in a child-related field, Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience required.

· 2 years experience in Early Childhood Education or related field

· Must possess knowledge of the following

Developmental stages

Effective teacher-child interactions

Effective childcare discipline management

Appropriate parent and child communication

Effective classroom environments specific to ages/stages

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
