JOB DESCRIPTION

• Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment
• “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures
• This position requires the employee to work without supervision
• Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, repairs and maintains building structures (including painting, vent cleaning, dry wall installation / repair, and light changes), maintenance of grounds (including mowing, weed eating, herbicide spraying, grounds clean up), systems and mechanical equipment (including plumbing, lighting, grounding checks, HVAC, electrical troubleshooting) in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operating manuals, manufacturers’ specifications or supervisor’s instructions, using hand and power tools, precision measuring or testing devices.
• Responsible for general maintenance as assigned including minor carpentry, repairs of furniture, doors, windows, plumbing, etc.
• Clears stoppages in sanitary or storm drainage systems using plumber’s snake, vacuum or manual plungers
• Replaces defective bulbs in buildings or on the exterior areas of the plant
• Performs minor inspection duties where directed

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, fork lifts, rough terrain forklifts, other heavy equipment, and hand / power tools
• Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment
• Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required
• Must have the capability of obtaining state certified pesticide (Core and Cat 6 level) applicator license
• Must have a working knowledge of NFPA 70E standards for electrical troubleshooting

* Must be able to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc. utilizing fall protection equipment as necessary to complete tasks *Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job

• Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Background check and drug screen required
