About the roleThe Industrial Engineering Manager is a critical position that drives performance improvements throughout the distribution center and retail stores. The position serves as the functional expert in applying Industrial Engineering principles and practices in relation to process engineering, automation, material handling equipment, and coordinating facility layout changes. Provides direction and coaching to the Engineering team and partners with DC GM, Operations Manager and Retail Store Operations in achieving their goals. The ideal candidate has a passion for continuous improvement, building teams, and loves to get their hands dirty.

About the roleThe Industrial Engineering Manager is a critical position that drives performance improvements throughout the distribution center and retail stores. Responsibilities
- You will lead the Industrial Engineering pillar of the Operations Team
- You have the opportunity to build a dynamic team of industrial engineers, process experts, and WMS super users
- You'll guide your team in vetting new and cutting-edge operational equipment to drive efficiency and productivity
- You will be a steward of our people first culture through enabling our associates to maximize their performance with new and exciting operational enhancements such as collaborative automation and future tech
- You'll develop, own, and communicate the IE project roadmap at Dolls Kill - including chances to communicate the plan and outcomes to our senior leadership team
- Your team will own the facility design and layouts for our current warehouse and future expansions
- Your team will help develop and own the SOPs (standard operating procedures) for the processes within the functional warehouse areas
- Evaluates and implements process improvement projects to the distribution center and retail stores in a way that is well understood, owned and executed by the operations teams
- Develop and maintain labor standards for all direct labor job functions within the distribution center and retail stores
- Implement “pay-for-performance” program in our DC
- Leads the development and maintenance of distribution center key performance indicators
- Assess and provides guidance on distribution center and retail store stock room capacity and asset utilization
- Conducts internal and external benchmarking, working with internal customers, to assess applicability to Dolls Kill
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in project management
- 5+ years minimum engineering experience with direct supervision of material handling, capital projects, and facilities maintenance in a warehouse/fulfillment center environment
- Direct experience with WMS, MHE, and LMS implementations
- Strong MS Office skills, ability to create advanced financial models, data analytics, etc…
- Committed to fostering and environment of feedback, development and cross functional partnership
- Ability to travel domestic and international as needed
