Position: Manufacturing and Process Engineer
PPE MFG USA, Corp. has an exciting opportunity for a manufacturing engineer at our Riverside, MO. location. This site is responsible for producing surgical masks, N95 respirators and more. We are eager to identify strong candidates and make hiring decisions immediately! The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be able to develop, organize, and lead all engineering design and automation practices. The ideal candidate will have medical device industry knowledge and experience.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:
- Reviews future projects with Plant Manager for cost estimation, layout, and impact.
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency and throughput.
- Creates 3D CAD models of existing equipment, new automation and 2D plant layout
- Develops new tools and improved manufacturing efficiencies through automation
- Program complex machinery for material pick-and-place, fastening, conveyance, etc.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Program vision cameras for inspection and 2D/3D machinery guidance (Cognex, Keyence)
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Creates the visual factory
- Works cross functionally with production and quality personnel to develop new process parameters and work instructions
- Develops preventative maintenance schedules, routines, and instructions
- Maintains compliance to all company policies, procedures, and adherence to regulatory and governmental laws.

Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- Superb computer skills and demonstrated programming proficiency
- Program PLCs using ladder logic and structured text (Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Beckhoff)
- Program and interface to industrial 6-axis robots (Fanuc, Kuka)
- Hands-on experience fixing and troubleshooting equipment problems and non-conformances
- Willing to work extended hours as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
