What You Will Do
This pivotal role in the Inclusion & Collaboration team will provide tactical and strategic support to build inclusive communities both inside and outside of Meraki to help us propel an inclusive future for all.
Internal Communities: Employee Resource Organizations & Networks and Inclusion Leadership Teams (Councils)
- Trusted advisor partnering closely with ERO Global Leaders and Executive Sponsors to support strategy development and execution including but not limited to planning, communication and execution of events, implementing ERO processes and governance
- Consult and champion global, regional and site needs to improve the ERO's impact, partnering with Employee Experience
- Actively participate at regional and global community meetings, events, and community digital forums
External Communities: Community Impact
- Implement our community investment strategy and lead our product donations based on industry research, thought leadership, and standard methodologies in line with our Inclusion & Collaboration Strategy
- Maintain relationships with Cisco Community Impact, Meraki regional sites and external partners
- Work with Cisco Community Impact to develop and market engagement opportunities for our employee population that include social and racial justice advancement
General Project Management:
- Drive sophisticated, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and HR Business Partners to develop and execute strategies for retention, engagement and promotion of diverse talent, including engagement in external sponsorship relationships
- Act as a project manager for projects that support Meraki's culture with D&I goals and objectives in mind
Who You Are
- Background (4+ years) in diversity and inclusion, employee resource group management, corporate social responsibility, corporate giving or community partnerships with business impact
- Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity and their intersection: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, and other differences that make us unique.
- Highly organized with excellent project management skills, strong attention to detail, and a track record delivering on tight timelines
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally building trusting relationships and influencing others.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
- Comfortable in working fast paced environments and able to prioritize critical work
- SharePoint, Google Pages, content creation skills Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Willingness to grow with the team and tackle administrative tasks as required
- Strong oral and written presentation skills to communicate with program stakeholders at all levels
