Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking a Dispatch & Customer Service associate to join our Upper East Store! We take pride in providing exceptional customer service and are seeking seafood experts in the industry with positive and pleasant demeanor to help us exceed in customer satisfaction.

Basic Job Function:

Maintain quality service as a grocery shopper for our customers. The dispatcher provides quality customer service while also demonstrating product knowledge. Must present at all times a positive image of Citarella to the customer and staff by providing information and valuable assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Passionate about customer service as well as food knowledge
• Work well in an often fast pace environment
• Possess excellent organization skills and a commitment to total customer satisfaction
• Handle multiple tasks at once
• Attention to detail

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Accurately shop the customer’s order
• Maintain channels of communication among staff to insure efficient order taking and problem solving
• Maintain present knowledge of store products, selections and promotions
• Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform.
• In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your manager.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time
• Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift, carry, push and pull weights of up to 50 pounds. Work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all customers are being serviced properly and the department operations are being completed in a timely manner.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to read and write the English language, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data as required
