Wavicle is hiring an Immigration Specialist who can own the end end-to-end lifecycle for processing the required legal paperwork required to allow for foreign nationals to work within the United States and Canada. What You Will Get To Do
  • Respond to requests for information from managers, employees, talent acquisition team and outside immigration counsel.
  • Assist with cases associated with non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, including H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 cases, as well as Canadian visas.
  • Conduct routine green card tasks such as postings, advertisements, and educating managers and employees on the process.
  • Monitor changes to employment status, job title, office location and salary and notify appropriate stakeholders.
  • Track and take appropriate action on upcoming visa expiration dates.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing business visa and travel letters.
  • Build frameworks and processes to better automate the immigration process internal.
  • Communicate results of immigration process across Wavicle leadership on a regular basis.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in relevant field or Paralegal certificate.
  • Candidate must reside in the Chicago metro area. Work from home with flexibility to come into one of our Chicago offices as needed.
  • 3+ years of U.S. immigration experience in successfully obtaining work permits in the U.S. is required.
  • Experience working for a professional services company is preferred.
  • Experience and/or understanding of the Canadian immigration process is preferred, but not required.
  • Expert knowledge in filing petitions to the USCIS (H1B, I-485, I-140, I-90, etc.).
  • Hands on experience in handling Request for Evidence (RFE) for US Work Permit.
  • Prior work experience with I-9 filing, GC processing and filing.
  • Strong knowledge in petitions to USCIS (H-1B, I-485, I-140, I-90, I- 129, I-130, I-131, I-751, I-765, I-864, and N-400).
  • Must have strong organization skills and highly detail oriented.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new laws/requirements quickly.
