Job Description

Meaningful Work From Day One:

This role supports and implements Global Integrated Communications strategy for Jack Daniel’s globally reporting to the Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands Global IMC Manager of Jack Daniel’s as part of the Global Marketing Team. Supports the Global IMC Manager and IMC leaders and Jack Daniel’s marketers around the world in improving the processes and implementation of communications plans and evaluating results. This role demands a high degree of collaboration with the JD Global IMC Team, JD Global Brand Managers and Local JD IMC Teams as well as IMC CoE stakeholders. Leveraging and applying the expertise of these groups and alignment of plans is a key part of this role. Communicates best practice and helps to optimize the overall communications process and tools for Jack Daniel’s globally. Assists in the implementation of global communication programs and identifying the right content assets. “Hands on” including training and management of agencies, handling day to day requests by markets on campaigns that involve the website or CRM.

Works with the Global IMC Manager and Global Brand Team to plan, execute and evaluate the following:

Global Platforms: Maintain & update “owned” Global Media Platforms

  • Maintains and updates the global JD website with our agencies and in close collaboration with CoE IMC.

  • Manages & optimizes globally-owned YouTube channel in partnership with markets

  • Exercises expert understanding of the global CRM database in partnership with markets to ensuring compliance with local data usage regulations and data security.

  • Constantly monitors and evaluates performance of our owned channels vs. key competitors

  • Stay abreast of the latest technical development enabling to recommend ways to improve our owned channels continuously

  • Develops and executes e-mail and social campaigns, leveraging existing assets and authoring original content where required.

Market Support: Hands on support in implementing market initiatives.

  • This role is “hands on” in supporting day to day requests from international markets and the US. This may involve sourcing content, setting up programs in response to requests.

  • This role is the “go to” contact for markets around the world that require website or CRM support.

  • This role advises on how to do this efficiently in line with the Brown-Forman communication principles and in line with appropriate local advertising and data privacy regulations.

  • Where required, this role connects with our global media agency, creative agency, the Brown-Forman Design team and external suppliers and internal Legal & Compliance to meet market implementation requests.

Owned Media Campaign Evaluation: Data & Analytics

  • This role implements the Global IMC Center of Excellence process in the evaluation of Owned Media campaigns using Global data, tools and platforms to set metrics in advance and complete post evaluation of owned media campaigns.

  • This role also evaluates how to use test & learn and real time campaign optimization to maximize communication activity.

  • This role is also responsible for sharing best practice and results of campaigns with stakeholders to constantly optimize our communication programs.

The Jack Daniel’s- Family of Brands Global IMC Specialist role is an active participant in the overall B-F IMC 'community'. Critical stakeholders include:

  • The Jack Daniel’s Global Marketing Team are key stakeholders in turning brand strategy into communication strategy. The Jack Daniel’s Global Brand Directors lead creative briefs, agency briefings, idea evaluation and execution of the “Communications Big Idea” as well as agency collaboration. They are the final approvers of brand strategy, communications development and creative output.

  • Local JD IMC Teams to leverage and apply the expertise of these groups and alignment of plans.

  • The Brown-Forman Global IMC Center of Excellence are key partners in following Global process, metrics and evaluation standards they are also key partners in subject matter expertise in media, inbound, e-commerce content and performance analytics.

  • Global Media & Creative Agencies

What Exactly Are We Looking For :

  • Undergraduate Degree or higher.

  • 4+ years working client and/ or agency side in media, e-commerce and / or marketing communications disciplines.

  • Consumer brand experience in this field is a must for this role ideally in a fast moving consumer goods or luxury brand company (i.e. not a B2B environment).

  • Strong knowledge and expertise of website, CMS, CRM, YouTube, data and analytics.

  • Strong foundational knowledge and awareness of media, social, on-line video, search, content and e-commerce.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand growth strategy.

  • Evidence of strong project management experience within a consumer orientated communications environment.

What Makes You Unique:

  • Broad based business education such as Business Degree or MBA or data science / analytics.

  • Experience working across markets in an international role.

  • Analytics experience including working with systems such as tableau and external data sources.

  • Ideally the candidate will have a combination of client and agency experience or have experience in client management at the agency side.

  • Experience working in or with large media and creative agencies.

Collaborative: In many cases this role will be about influencing non-direct reports. Collaboration and trust are key qualities to maximize the impact of this role.

Prioritization & Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple requests and effectively prioritize and plan work is key. The candidate must be flexible and able to “dive into” urgent requests when needed. The maturity to seek assistance and leverage external resources in conjunction with the IMC manager where needed is important.

Analytical Skills: This role will involve working with data and analytics tools. Competence with spreadsheets, basic analytics, and use of databases on analyze results.
