GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs clerical duties such as processing requisitions, scanning documents into PACS (picture archiving and communication system) editing information in PACS, digitizing films into PACS, pushing images from 3rd party systems into PACS system, creating, exporting and importing of images on CD and DVD for patient and physician use, resolving QA issues in PACS. Monitoring PACS database, merging and deleting images as necessary, locating and providing priors for radiologists. Creating film jackets, filing reports and films, preparing out-going and incoming films, loading alternators, obtaining patients from central registration and escorting them to appropriate areas for testing. Assisting patients with filling out forms and changing into gowns. Processing and distribution of radiology reports, answering phones, purging jackets/films, obtaining films from the warehouse, and stocking of supplies.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent customer service skills. Computer skills required. Previous hospital experience preferred.
