Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8am - 830pm
Hiring Range $13.50 - $15.88 per hour, based on years of qualified experience. Expert level pay consideration may be provided above Hiring Range.

JOB SUMMARY
Radiology Assistants are responsible for smooth operations and efficiency of each modality within the Imaging Department. This includes the transportation of patients from all areas of the hospital, monitoring their care and stability at all times, providing information, assisting the physicians, technical and nursing staff, answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing active medical records, processing paperwork, and a variety of other duties pertinent to optimal patient flow and staff utilization.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Educational/Formal Training
Prefer high school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology course preferred.
Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
BLS by end of conditional period.
Good keyboarding skills.
Experience
Previous medical office, nursing assistant and/or radiology assistant experience preferred.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Imaging Transporter; Help transport patient from floor to Imaging Modalities and back to floor.
Patient Care handoff with floor RN's and Imaging staff.
Assist with answering phones and preparing for transportation (how does patient travel, O2 needs, etc.).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- Lifting and moving patients
- Stressful environment and fast paced.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand and walk 75% of the time. The employee frequently is required to stoop, crouch and twist. The employee is occasionally required to kneel, squat and sit.
- The employee must be able to consistently support, push, pull and/or transfer up to 50 pounds (for example, moving a patient from a wheelchair to a bed.)
- Functional physical demands include: manual dexterity, fine motor skills and reaching. The following senses will be needed for essential duties of the job: speech, vision, hearing, smell, and touch.
