Job Description
The Imaging Service Associate (ISA) will provide a high level of customer service as the front line team member of the Imaging Department. The ISA is a critical part of the patient experience and ensures the proper processing of patient exams, patient preparation and communication of any questions or issues to the proper modality and or person. Works the front desk reception area, enters orders, processes patients, calls for and documents receipt of physician orders, produces exam discs for patients and hospital departments, and any other clerical functions as needed. Assists as needed with order compliance, patient lab documentation, exam prep distribution and patient exam packets for CT, US, and RAD and adjusts the process as necessary to attain 100% compliance. Communicates with various modalities to understand wait times and communicates this information to patients and guests. Assists patients with current or future scheduling needs including verifying future appointments and scheduling follow up appointments through Central Scheduling.
Qualifications
Possesses moderate to advanced knowledge of medical and imaging terminology. Ideally, 5+ years in a hospital setting, however will consider those with less experience that are working in other ISA levels that have demonstrated high quality work and are able to consistently to meet the duties of this ISA level.
Ability to communicate at all levels. Receptionist skills, phone etiquette, and typing preferred. Knowledge of numeric filing system.
