In the role of Product Marketing Manager, Identity, you will help shape the future of identity at Microsoft. You will partner with engineering on product plans, drive positioning and messaging of new features, and craft go-to-market (GTM) plans that increase awareness and usage of identity solutions. You will serve as spokesperson and subject matter expert with external and internal audiences. As new features are built, you will take them through the branding and messaging process before launching them publicly in PR, web, and sales content.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
Culture
- Live and breathe Microsoft culture.
- Foster diversity and inclusion.
- Maintain strong relationships within Microsoft Security Marketing and with partner teams across marketing, sales, and the community.
Product Strategy & Evangelism
- Drive product vision and roadmap for identity products.
- Be the product expert on new capabilities to customers, field sellers and partners, regularly presenting to audiences both large and small.
- Partner with GTM and Integrated Marketing teams on plans for events, launches, product moments.
- Lead product storytelling at industry events, with media and industry analysts.
Messaging & Positioning
- Drive messaging and positioning frameworks for new areas in identity.
- Drive feature naming, messaging, and rollout communications for new product experiences.
- Build core content that articulates product value in a thoughtful and compelling way with consistency across all mediums (e.g. web page, customer pitch deck, blog posts, FAQs, screenshots/GIFs, videos).
Customer Insights
- Derive insights on customer habits and preferences from telemetry, market research and competitive analysis to inform product plans and prioritization.
- Partner with engineering to drive product improvements and represent key customer and internal priorities in the engineering development process.
- Engage customers at the Executive Briefing Center (EBC), Microsoft and industry events and use their feedback to inform product development and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years technology product management, product marketing, or transferrable experience in developing value propositions, creating content, developing demos, presenting at events and customer presentations.
- Experience creating messaging and content that romances product scenarios, aligned to customer needs.
- Ability to translate complex technology concepts into compelling value-driven customer narratives.
- Strong executive communication, storytelling skills, and the ability to translate complex ideas into simple customer stories.
- Successful track record of building collaborative partnerships with technology teams.
- Strong cross-group collaboration skills to work across functions and solution areas at Microsoft.
- Experience in identity and access management or security categories strongly preferred.
