Critical Care Highlights
- A combined unit total of 26 patient beds: 13 beds on 2 floors.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with a growing team of 7 Intensivists, with a model of “mandatory consult” to the intensivists for every patient in Critical Care.
- 2 Cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 Neurosurgeons with privileges.
- One of the busiest heart centers in the Pacific Northwest including a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP lab and IR lab offering progressive industry technology including TAVR procedures.
- Staffing 1:1 – post-TPA, CRRT, IABP, Impella and immediate post open heart recovery with over 350+ open heart surgeries per year.
- Launching a brand new ECMO program using the Centrimag cardiac assist device with robust training, education and ongoing support with our dedicated ECMO Program Coordinator.
- Highly engaged team with many options to be involved and have your voice heard.
- 13% differential for nights, 9% differential for weekends (weekend nights receive both differentials), and an opportunity to pick up additional, incentivized shifts
- Relocation assistance is provided.
As a Critical Care RN, you will:
- Be responsible for evaluating, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care for Critical Care patients.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within your scope of practice
- Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and their family to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be a graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required.
- A minimum of BSN or current enrollment and continuous progression towards completion of a BSN program within 2 years of hire required.
- A minimum of 1-year experience in Critical Care, Emergency or OR/PACU preferred.
- State of Idaho Registered Nurse or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the "multistate privilege to practice" compact with Idaho required prior to start date.
- ACLS Required.
- CCRN or CNOR preferred.
