Altemp Mechanical Inc., an established commercial service company, is looking for experienced HVAC/R and Commercial Appliance Technicians to join our service team.
The position will involve:- Providing timely and quality repairs of customers’ products while maintaining the highest levels of customer service
- Interact with customers in a pleasant and professional manner
- Conducting effective troubleshooting and problem solving
- Maintaining proper paperwork and records
As an member of our service team, you will be responsible for the repair of equipment at our clients’ properties and will provide knowledgeable and courteous repair service. Equipment that you will repair include (but are not limited to) the following units: Commercial HVAC units, exhaust fans, freezers, coolers, ovens, deep fryers, dishwashers, ect.
Your specific duties as an Service Technician will include:- Maintaining truck stock inventory within the prescribed company standards
- Remaining available for emergency on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
- Maintain a clean and organized truck
- Continuously looking for methods to improve business performance and to enhance the customer experience
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned
As a Service Technician, you must have a strong electrical and mechanical background as well as exceptional troubleshooting, analytic and problem-solving skills. You must also have solid interpersonal and customer service abilities.
Specific qualifications for the Service Technician position include:- High school diploma
- OR equivalent or vocational school strongly, preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience on-the-job HVAC/R or Commercial appliance repair
- EPA certification
- Computer Experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics
- Ability to use a full range of tools and equipment for diagnosing and completing repairs
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Flexibility with regard to schedule and willingness to work nights and weekends as required
