HVAC Mechanic

About the Role: Complete Building Services is looking to add a HVAC Mechanic to our facility team. We are supporting a large government building in the heart of DC as supplemental staff. Our team is focused on equipment upkeep and troubleshoot repair. The work week is Sunday through Thursday and the shift will be from 2:30pm to 11:00pm. While you are on site, you will be supporting the facility in the following capacities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair of HVAC systems and associated equipment
• Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC systems and subsystems
• Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition
• Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling
• Operate Building Energy Management System (EMS-Metasys) and associated building controls
• Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
• Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
• Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
• Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
• Perform other related duties as assigned

You Should Have:

• 5 years experience working on commercial HVAC systems
• Ideally will possess HVAC Journeyman, but not required
• Completed coursework in HVAC areas
• Must have working knowledge of 480V and below electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing system
• Universal CFC Certification Required
• Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Building Operations
• Must be able to pass background check to obtain government site badge
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
• Valid driver's license
