HVAC Maintenance Mechanic (Refrigeration Technician)

Summary: Performs technical and general maintenance work on facilities and building equipment, structures, systems and hardware at an industrial manufacturing facility in Hopewell Junction. Regular work schedule is 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Sunday - Tuesday and every other Saturday.

Job Duties include:

• Performs technical and general maintenance work on a variety of facilities and building equipment, systems, structures, and hardware, including air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust, compressed air, controls, lighting, electrical, security systems, fire systems, roofs, café equipment, etc.
• Ability to trouble shoot and diagnose problems with HVAC systems and Refrigeration Units.
• Completes preventive maintenance (PMs) and client and proactive work orders along with housekeeping responsibilities in the work areas and shop.
• Assists senior mechanics with complex tasks or major repairs/modifications.
• Assists with the implementation of standard trade practices and procedures (using appropriate safety precautions) for routine maintenance.
• Provides technical assistance to junior staff.
• Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) required
• Two or more years of Trade school, industrial or commercial building maintenance experience required
• Knowledge and experience with Refrigeration and Cafeteria Equipment required (Must have Universal Certificate for refrigeration)
• Must have knowledge and experience of facilities systems (chilled water, compressed air, steam, domestic hot and cold water) and equipment (including HVAC, pumps, piping, valves, pneumatics, controls, motors, electrical up to 600 volts / 3 phase, heat exchangers, and air compressors
