Job Description

Job Summary
The human resources representative is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HR Director in supporting the day-to-day operations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: staffing, benefits administration, training, performance management and onboarding. Also act as liaison amongst all levels of management to maintain a healthy work environment.
General Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability and other carriers or brokers.
  • Oversees the full life cycle staffing process to include working closely with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, manage the inflow of resumes and establish a systematic approach to track applicants.
  • Assists with recruiting applicants by maintaining liaison with schools, associations, and other recruiters. Represents organization at selected job fairs. In addition, maintains accurate records of active job openings and applications.
  • Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment and new hire orientation.
  • Conducts or assist with record audits and mandatory reporting, which may include I-9 audits, payroll audits and other compliance reviews.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes.
  • Maintains company organizational chart and employee directory.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits law and regulations.
  • Provides day-to-day coaching to all employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: *

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be familiar with human resources concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and similar data bases.
  • Must be proficient using HRIS systems. Experience with ADP is a plus.
  • Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
