WOW Logistics is now hiring for a Human Resources Manager – Project Planning and Implementation!
As a founding member, this Human Resources role will be a critical part of the newly formed Project Planning and Implementation Team. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager - Project Planning and Implementation that has a background in starting up new locations. This role be an expert in conducting a market analysis in new markets to understand labor conditions, compensation for all needed positions, and overall cost of living. This position will report directly to the Vice President – Project Planning and Implementation but will also have a dotted line to the Vice President of Human Resources. The Human Resources Manager will be actively involved in the design, planning and implementation phases of new operations. Once a location is up and running, they will move on to the next location. The candidate would ideally implement 3-5 new start-ups and then take on the role of a Regional HR Manager to support the locations they just implemented. If the right candidate wants to continue to travel and implement start up’s, they could. This position will travel up to 50% across the United States to implement new sites during go live. This position could work remotely or at corporate up until go live at locations.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts market research and onsite visits (prior to go live) in a new market to include cost of living, compensation, labor conditions, unemployment, and various other items.
- Completes a thorough report and investigation to help Engineering provide an accurate labor analysis for project bidding.
- Participates actively and provides insight from his/her experience during the design, planning and implementation of new DCs.
- Acts as first point of contact for employee relations issues at sites
- Manages the entire recruitment process for new start up sites
- Implement and manage human resources initiatives in support of corporate initiatives.
- Hires all employees as needed during the tail-end of implementation phase or before Go-Live by transferring the knowledge to ensure Front line leadership is ready and prepared to run the DC as promised to our customers.
- Partners with Project Management and Engineering to lead the head-count ramp plan for the new DCs.
- Supports Go-Live and Stabilization phase working closely with Customer, Engineering, PM, IT and Operations teams.
- Assists in smooth transitioning of responsibilities from PPI team to Current Customer Service team.
- Assists with development of organization's policies, practices, and attainment of operating goals
- Assesses and assists in upgrading the management talent base within operations to achieve growth and meet market needs
- Learn ROI, process, scope, and entire items of new operation.
- Assists in coordinating efforts between support departments within the organization
- Establishes, implements, revises, and maintains policies and procedures related to operations with Human Resources
- Oversees compliance of established policies
- Develops work plans ensuring appropriate staffing levels - managing labor costs, overtime and retention
- Prepares & presents reports on KPIs such as attrition/turnover rate, retention rate, absenteeism etc. & uses the same to take appropriate actions to ensure facility is successful in delivering its targets.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources
- 5+ years’ previous Human Resources Generalist experience in a multi-site environment
- Excellent project management, team building and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent knowledge of computer software applications
- Ability to form strong partnerships with high level of communication and ability to influence
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, strong negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the employment relationship
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be ready to dive into details, but also take a higher strategic view of the business when necessary
