Job Description
The Human Resources Manager will be a key business partner to the Litchfield facility. This position will be responsible for a wide range of functions including recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement and company culture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Directs the recruiting, interviewing and selection of employees to fill vacant Non-Exempt and Exempt positions. Contracts with outside vendors for temporary staffing as needed.
- Partner with Supervisors to understand career planning, performance results, managing follow-up processes for high and low performers and support disciplinary action.
- Prepares reports and analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies related to absenteeism and turnover.
- Conduct new employee orientation and follow-up to foster positive attitude toward company policies.
- Work with managers to develop proactive training plans that prepare employees to meet current and future business objectives.
- Manages the performance evaluation process.
- Actively participates in individual team member’s development, engagement and training requirements.
- Manages the administration and retention of all human resource records including benefits, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, I-9’s, etc. in both hard copy and electronic form.
- Maintains employment and staffing records to assist in wage and salary tracking, staffing, budget guidelines.
- Conducts or analyzes wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage structure.
- Conducts investigations and resolves employee relations matters timely.
- Manages and complies with Workers Compensation, FMLA, LOA and ADAAA matters.
- Represents site at personnel related hearings and investigations.
- Advises leadership on the hiring and termination of employees in accordance with employment laws and company policy, as well as performing the direct contact for same.
- Partners with the Plant Management to adhere to Safety OSHA compliance and enforce Safety rules, policies and programs.
- Follows and enforces company and local work rules, safety rules and policies, and company standards and activities.
- Collaborates with management to identify change management implications and develops change plans.
- Educate and influence leaders and managers on building an inclusive culture within the workplace. Identify and develop action plans for areas of concern.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of Human Resources generalist experience including previous experience working in a manufacturing setting and/or similar populations of hourly employees
- Experience in all facets of human resources including, recruitment processes, employee relations and legal compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated strength in analyzing facts and issues, identifying options, and able to decide and recommend a course of action. Must know when to compromise and when to be assertive.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Prior HRIS experience preferred.
