Ply Gem is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist’s whose responsibilities include full-scale HR Generalist support associated with the manufacturing facility in the West Sacramento, CA.

The HRG will report to the HR Manager and be involved in the development and implementation of strategic HR programs in partnership with the plant leadership. This role will partner with leadership and the HR Manager in the following areas: performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, engagement, supervisory coaching, change management, and other ad hoc HR projects. The role has oversight for all site Human Resources administrative processes and payroll. They will ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures and compliance with all laws/statutes regulating the employment relationship.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively provides strategic HR partnership to assigned client groups in a manufacturing environment to achieve company goals
  • Promote and support the business, and Human Resources, strategies designed to align the Cornerstone’s business lines and grow the business
  • Work with business leaders to build cohesive working relations and ensure the effective implementation and execution of HR initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with leadership to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions
  • Serve as internal consultant and change agent by analyzing current HR programs and recommending solutions
  • Ensure culture reflects Cornerstone’s mission, vision, and values through proactive employee relations and management coaching
  • Mitigate risk to the organization by assisting with employee relations including disciplinary action, complaints, and conflict resolution
  • Assist with investigations and documentation in accordance with Cornerstone’s policies and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal employment regulations and company policies
  • Advise, counsel, and update managers, supervisors, and employees on company policies, practices, procedures, benefits, and wages
  • Understands and solicits employee feedback and anticipates their needs and concerns
  • Partner with HR COEs/Shared Services to deliver leadership and employee development, talent acquisition and management, total rewards, and operational activities\
  • Foster a high performing and highly engaged culture
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Experiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or HR certification
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • MUST have experience within a manufacturing distribution environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders
  • This role is a human resources generalist requiring a range of experience in employee relations, change management, coaching and performance management
  • Must possess the ability to manage a broad range of tasks and build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence, and presentations to leadership as required
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
