Human Resources Generalist needed for a full-time, staff opportunity with Day & Zimmermann located in Philadelphia, PA.
The Human Resources Generalist manages the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for Yoh staff employees and contingent workers. This role also provides baseline employee relations and performs maintenance/reporting for employee and organizational data.
The Work You’ll Be Doing:
- Interprets Human Resources policies and federal/state regulations related to pay practices. Provides guidance (or escalates issues to HR Director) as appropriate. Performs all activities in support of hiring, new hire orientation, compensation, benefits, leave administration, transfers, promotions and terminations. Maintain and report on employee records. Manages and responds to routine correspondence and inquiries from employees and frontline managers.
- Performs baseline employee relations including low risk complaints, issues and investigations.
- Participates in Corporate HR initiatives and projects. Leads business unit HR projects as required
- Provides turnkey leave of absence administration ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. Coordinates with employees, managers, third party administrators and HR directors as appropriate.
- Responsible for the execution and optimization of onboarding and off boarding processes.
- Provide training and technical support as well as project management for relevant processes and programs.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required
- Solid understanding of FLSA, ADA, FMLA and state specific employment related laws/regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Solid process and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening process. (If applicable)
