Human Resources Generalist
Exempt Position
Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Job Summary:

The HR Generalist ensures that the company records are current, accurate and maintained through the HRIS system. Manages the company’s training and tuition reimbursement programs. Assists the Recruiter with hiring functions. Ensures that adequate records are kept for any regulatory reporting required by governmental agencies. Maintains company policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages the HRIS system and trains new supervisors and new hires.
  • Assists Recruiter with the hiring and onboarding, as needed.
  • Implements the succession plan with the use of career ladders and development of associates.
  • Administers the associate benefit programs relating to training and tuition reimbursement.
  • Recommends training programs to Leadership Team by studying associate requirements and trends and developments. Creates, administers, and leads internal training programs.
  • Recommends new approaches and processes to effect continual improvement in company and human resources operations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Participates in all HR-related policies and procedures meetings.
  • Counsels and advises all levels of staff on HR issues.

Qualifications:

Skills and knowledge required for this position would generally be acquired with a four-year degree with an emphasis on business and human relation subjects, followed by three or more years of successful experience in related subordinate positions or five years of successful experience in related subordinate positions.
