Janover, a full-service accounting firm dedicated to being innovative, accessible, efficient and technologically sophisticated, is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Human Resources Associate to join our team. This individual will provide administrative support, including on-boarding, recruiting and resources planning. Candidates must be comfortable interacting with all levels including senior management and possess high professional integrity in order to handle confidential matters.
This position requires a hybrid schedule with a requirement to be in our office at least 2 days per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitates new-hire on-boarding processes including conducting background checks, employee orientation, creating new employee files, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly completed and submitted to appropriate teams.
- Coordinates campus recruiting process; including scheduling career fair attendance, interview coordinating, applicant communications and tracking. Serves as main point of contact for Universities and Colleges.
- Coordinates Internship Programs, activities and schedules.
- Maintains PTO request and approvals for employee's time off including monitoring and reporting.
- Facilitates separation processes. Execute all employee termination procedures including communication and information to employees and ensuring all termination and access processes are complete.
- Assist managers and employees with company policies and procedures inquiries.
- Administration and data entry of the business’ scheduling needs for resource planning. Monitor schedules and escalated conflicts as needed. Participate in preparation of annual and busy season schedules.
- Exercises discretion and escalate to HR Manager, and business leaders for resolution of issues.
- Emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance and employee engagement. Working alongside the leadership team to create and facilitate initiatives that drive culture
- Participate in HR related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- 1+ years of HR or equivalent related experience
- Preference in corporate or professional services work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Organized and has the ability to multitask.
- Strong computer skills are a must with willingness to learn new software as needed, including Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS Software.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is a plus.
- Ability to remain focused and confident in a fast-paced environment, when faced with ambiguous and delicate situations.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and policies, industry trends and applicable state and federal laws.
- Well-developed decision making, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Strong initiative to work independently, be self-motivated and work to meet deadline
