Job Description

Who are we? NILP is a rapidly growing, human service agency who assists persons with all types of disabilities who wish to live independently in their community throughout Northeast Massachusetts. NILP provides five core services of Advocacy, Peer Counseling, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills Training, and Transition. NILP believes in consumer control and self-direction and provides these services with the knowledge that persons with disabilities are the best determinants of their needs and goals.

Position Overview: Human Resources Assistant will assist with recruiting and provide administrative support.

What you will be doing:
  • Screen's candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase.
  • Counsels' candidates on the interview and hiring process, and arranges accommodations for applicants when necessary.
  • Check's candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
  • Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Assist with preparation of reports and special projects.
Who we are looking for?
  • Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred. May be substituted with equivalent experience living with a disability.
  • At least two years of human resources or related experience required.
  • Attention to detail, professional attitude, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel independently and reliable transportation required.
