Long Term Skilled Nursing Facility located in Buffalo, New York is looking for a full time Human Resources Assistant. The primary purpose of this position is the coordination of activities related to hiring, human resources management, human resources records management and reporting, and administrative support.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
- Interacts with managerial staff to assess needs; offers staffing suggestions and provides ongoing support.
- Facilitates candidate onboarding and off-boarding processes; coordinates interviews, drafts appropriate communication and correspondence, collects employment documentation, and manages employment screening activities.
- Processes new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations.
- Communicates Human Resources policies and participates in employee training/information sessions.
- Maintains employee personnel files and documents.
- Other duties as assigned by HR Director/Administrator.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- High level of organization and detail.
- Possesses mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous Payroll/HR experience preferred.
- Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
