- Assists in recruitment activities by arranging for physical examinations, verifying veterans? preference, making job offers, coordinator EOD/release dates and processing pre-appointment security checks.
- Uses personnel computer, word processing and/or other office automation equipment and various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Experience providing technical support to Human Resources Specialists (e.g., maintaining case files and ensuring documentation is in compliance with established guidelines and procedures); (2) answering a variety of inquiries from employees and/or job applicants (e.g., benefit entitlements, leave questions); (3) preparing vacancy announcements for a variety of positions; and (4) coordinating pre-employment requirements for applicants/employees (e.g. scheduling physical examination, initiating pre-appointment security checks, coordinating start dates).
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
