Job Description
Overview: The HR Generalist is responsible for the recruitment process, HR administration, employee relations, performance management, employee counseling, disability management and benefits administration. This position provides HR support to managers and employees within the site location.Responsibilities:
  • Support the recruitment process including job postings, resume review, interviewing, reference checks, offer letters, and entire onboarding process.
  • Assists in administering transfers, promotions, discipline & terminations, ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable law.
  • Conducts exit interviews and provides feedback to management.
  • Assist with performance management process; provide feedback and / or recommendations to management on employee performance reviews.
  • Manages site specific disability claims
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs, and solutions
  • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
  • Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention.
  • Responsible for benefits administration for site employees
  • Maintains the accuracy and confidentiality of employee information.
  • May serve as backup for payroll
Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; HR concentration preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience required
  • Previous HR experience in a maunfacturing facility preferred
Skills
  • Working knowledge of employment law, federal and state regulations
  • Must have experience working with Applicant Tracking and HRIS systems
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency, and ability to maintain high ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and multi-task
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
