Job Description
Purpose:
Responsible for the on-going administration of human resources information systems (HRIS) to meet all HR information, analysis and reporting needs. Oversees payroll to ensures accurate and timely processing and maintenance of payroll processes and related reporting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Partners in the development and maintenance of project plans for multiple implementations in the area of Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll and Operations.
- Assists with preparation and implementation of HCM modules.
- Serves as a contact for systems configurations, enhancements, upgrades, implementation, interfaces, and production.
- Partners with management to solve system requests; gathers data, analyzing, interpreting and recommends go forward plans.
- Understands, and interprets business processes into workflows and system configurations
- Assist in developing system mapping and applying configuring set ups accordingly.
- Ensures the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with provided relevant legislation.
- Performs root cause analysis for system issues and makes recommended changes.
- Assist in the development of procedures and training documents and imparting knowledge through teaching, tutoring or instructing uses of the system.
- Works collaboratively with HR team, vendors, and agency partners to provide outstanding customer service.
- Able to manage multiple competing time lines and priorities for various stakeholders.
- Conducts on going audits for system integrity.
- Coordinates and communicate with managers and employees to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately.
- Verifies accuracy of payroll prior to final processing.
- Coordinate payroll processing with outside payroll services.
- Inputs miscellaneous adjustments, update and maintain current employee information.
- Reviews and completes year-end and payroll planning checklist.
- Coordinates with Human Resources on new enrollment for deduction and adjustments.
- Coordinates with managers and employees as needed, answering questions, troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Data entry of payroll and HRIS information, taxes, tax reporting, audits & controls and producing reports to support personnel reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain HR reports to support HR functions such as payroll, compensation, benefits, employment, training, affirmative action, workforce analysis, career development and succession planning and compliance reporting.
- Assists the accounting department with annual audits conducted by Lighthouses consulting accounting firm and other audits.
- Ensures accurate and timely compliance with garnishment decrees and other legally required deduction orders.
- Support all HR functions such as compensation and benefits by creating and maintaining accurate HR databases and reports.
- Ability to work schedule as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires Bachelor or Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field [or a combination of college coursework plus experience, which, in managements opinion, is the equivalent of an AS or AA degree.
- HRIP Certification preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years experience in HRIS position.
- Experience using an in-house HRIS is strongly preferred.
- Strong Computer skills including HRIS/Payroll, Timekeeping, electronic transmissions, MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills as well as solid customer service skills. Proven ability as a team player.
- Requires demonstrated in-depth knowledge of federal, state and city regulations and laws.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
