Position Summary
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Workday HCM system and Workforce time/attendance/leave system, under guidance of the Manager, HR Information Systems. This position serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert for HR Information Systems. This role is responsible for ensuring data integrity, testing, changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects as assigned. This position reports to the Manager, HR Information Systems.
Position Responsibilities
- Participates in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of Workday and Workforce changes/issues/enhancements.
- Diagnoses and resolves issues (end-user, business process, security, etc.).
- Develops and maintains simple to complex reports and dashboards, working with functional teams to understand and interpret the information.
- Runs and distributes scheduled reports and supports business requests for ad hoc report generation.
- Oversees the daily operation of Workday and Workforce.
- Supports maintenance of inbound/outbound Workday HCM integrations to third party vendors including payroll and benefits providers.
- Performs data uploads into Workday as needed (EIB).
- Supports Workday and Workforce by researching and resolving issues, testing solutions, and communicating resolution to customers.
- Analyzes errors and utilizes resources such as Workday Community to drive resolutions and identify root cause.
- Develops test plans and project plans for upgrades/new functionality.
- Maintains training and procedure documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
- Five or more years of experience with HR Information System configuration and support.
- Experience working within the Human Resources department is preferred.
- Experience with Workday configuration and administration (Experience and knowledge of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits).
- Basic knowledge of Workday domains, data structures and reporting functional areas (e.g. within Core HCM, Reporting, Compensation, Talent, Benefits and Payroll).
- Experience with Workforce configuration and administration is preferred.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables.
- Proficiency with MS Excel & MS PowerPoint (advanced formulas, creating pivot tables, graphics, charts).
- Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- Workday Pro certification(s) are desirable.
